| WHY ATTEND |
||||||||||||
| Incorporating native plants into our urban landscapes has been increasingly emphasized in planning efforts in our region. The Los Angeles River Master Plan, the San Gabriel River Master Plan and many of the region’s watershed plans advocate the use of native plants in addition to other sustainable design practices. Along with the majority of open space projects funded by Propositions 40, 50 and 84, these plans will underpin tens of millions of dollars of landscape projects for years to come. To contribute to landscape architects’ and project managers' familiarity with the nuances of designing and managing native landscapes we have developed a one-day program that will provide a comprehensive overview of current best native plant design and management practices.
